Sunday…

21 10 2007

Aaaahhhhh…. Yawn… I’m planning a very slow Sunday.  I’ve been in the US for almost 2 months now. It’s a bit cloudy and cool today. They say it’s supposed to get cold by the end of next week – so I’m looking forward to seeing what all the exitement is about. Time is really flying by! The project is keeping me really busy. I’m almost always at work. Last night, however, we (guys from work – and I went out – and I mean OUT!) I must have got home at 3. Then the cure is supposed to be breakfast at a diner. We’re going to meet in an hour at Nick’s on State Street. I’ve never been there, but Frank says that it’s got a good 1960’s feel to it. It’s brunch! I’ve heard about this – not quite breakfast and not quite lunch – but should be greasy enough to make the hang over pass!

Anyway – I’ve got to get ready to go. I’ll try to be back later. I’ll tell you all how it went!

Bye for now!

I enjoy branches…but usually I do them in the wrong day of the week! :D

It’s with a pleasure that I can announce my first comment from the south american continent. I’m here and I’m not moveing for now. Probably the most unconfortable trip I ever made…but in the end it could have been worst…they could have lost my bags…they could have lost my dog…none of this happened so I’m pretty happy with it!

Hope you’ll start a sunday branch tradition…it really works out the stress! ;)

Congratulations on arriving in South America!!! You took a dog with you??!!! Sorry I haven’t been in contact. We have to give a progress report next week about our project, so work has been ridiculously busy.
I have, however, started a Sunday brunch tradition – it seems. We’ve gone out three Sunday’s in a row. It’s really nice. Up late on Sunday – roll out of bed and before you know it – it’s eggs and bacon and coffee at a diner. Diners are big here – they’re like really informal restaurants, but not like our agriturismi. Why do you say you do brunches on the wrong day of the week? How’s the food in Ecuador? Do you eat at home most of the time, or do you go out? How’s the weather? It’s getting cold here! I’m glad my rent includes heat!

Happy Halloween also to Kate (I haven’t seen you in a bit! My fault – I should call!)
Happy Halloween to Gualdo Tadino and everyone in Urbino!

Next year I’ll wire my doorbell with some electric shock giver to all of those anoing children…thank god my falks have a german shepard that barkes everytime she hears the doorbell (she is actually not mean at all, she only hates people she doesn’t know…good puppy).

I don’t have to worry about the weather up here (2500 meter above the sea level)…all the year is the same 18-28 C° during the day. Unfotunately now it should be raining season so allmost everyday in the afternoon you could get a little shower or a serious ammount of water (like today).

I can’t say much of the food…they don’t really have any specialties. You got to think that people around here are pretty simple and pretty poor so they usually do some kind of “sopa” (soup) and some pork…not much more.

I had serious troubles with my internet connection in past few days…I hope in the future they won’t happen again (grgrgrg)…I got to catch up in some courses! study study study!!! ;)
